On January 27th, MCC Chairman and Party Committee Secretary Guo Wenqing met visiting Ma’anshan Municipal Party Committee Secretary Zhang Xiaolin in Beijing. Both parties held a thorough talk and agreed on cooperation in many aspects including sewage treatment, Beautiful Village and Smart City, Sponge City, and underground synthesized pipe galleries.
Guo Wenqing welcomed Secretary Zhang Xiaolin to the MCC Group, thanked the Ma’anshan Municipal Government for the great care and support it constantly offers MCC and its subsidiaries, and briefly introduced the basic information ofthe Group as the'National Team in metallurgy construction and operation services, the main force in the iron and steel industry, and the pacemaker of emerging industries'. He went on to point out that the MCC Group has been actively engaged in creating the comprehensive 'Four Beams and Eight Columns' business system in recent years, and has achieved a successful transformation. It now possesses new advantages and strength in transportation, municipal infrastructure, urban underground synthesized pipe galleries, environmental projects, new energies, theme parks and other areas. Moreover, faced with the great potential of such emerging business markets as urban synthesized pipe galleries, Sponge City, and Beautiful Village and Smart City, the MCC Group has considered situations and judged opportunities to establish the first MCC Synthesized Pipe Gallery Institute, MCC Sponge City Institute, and MCC Beautiful Village and Smart City Technology Institute, in efforts to create MCC brands with extensive influence and strong control force for the promotion of the Group's sustainable developmentunder the new normal.
Guo Wenqing added that,since the 18th Party Conference, President Xi Jinping has put forward many new concepts, theses and measures to indicate the key work and basic requirements for the socialistconstruction of a new and beautiful countryside, setting important bases as well as raising new and higher requirements for the Group. Enjoying a convenient location with beautiful landscapes and a favorable climate, Ma’anshan is one of the essential iron and steel industrial bases in China which possesses major transformation development space and potential. He hopes that both the Ma’anshan Municipal Government and the MCC Group will further strengthen their close contact and conduct wide and in-depth cooperation in many aspects such as sewage treatment, Beautiful Village and Smart City, Sponge City, and underground synthesized pipe galleries, to jointly make greater contributions to the economic and social development of Ma’anshan City.
Zhang Xiaolin thanked Chairman Guo Wenqing for his warm reception, as well as the significant long-term contributions of the MCC Group and its subsidiaries the MCC17 Group and MCC Huatian to the economic and social development of Ma’anshan City. He then briefly introduced the development of Ma’anshan before pointing out that the MCC Group is an amazing enterprise with a long history, enormous potential, solid management and a fine style of work. He hopes to further strengthen their cooperation in more extensive aspects such as sewage treatment, Beautiful Village and Smart City, Sponge City, and underground synthesized pipe galleries.
