On January 30th, with the care of the MCC Party Committee, MCC Party Committee Standing Member and Deputy President Xiao Xuewen and MCC Chief Engineer Han Guorui arrived in Zhanjiang to comfort the families of advanced workers and employees living in difficulty taking part in the construction of the Baosteel Zhanjiang Iron and Steel Base Project, and to bring them festival greetings and New Year’s blessings.
Xiao Xuewen first went to Hospital No. 422 of the PLA to visit MCC20 Group employee Zheng Xianguang who is suffering acerebral hemorrhage. Xiao Xuewen asked Zheng Xianguang about the state of the illness and his current recovery condition, thanked him for his hard work in the iron and steel construction in Zhanjiang, and encouraged him to pluck his spirits up, fight to defeat the serious illness soon and recover with a healthy body and a good mental state.
In Shanghai Baoye’s Zhanjiang 1550 Cold Rolling Project meeting room, Xiao Xuewen conveyed the concerns and condolences of MCC Chairman and Party Committee Secretary Guo Wenqing and MCC General Manager and MCC President Zhang Zhaoxiang for all MCC’s workers making painstaking efforts and in the engineering construction of Baosteel’s Zhanjiang Iron and Steel Base, gave the blessings of the New Year to all the constructors and their family memberson behalf of MCC’s Party, Government and Labor Union, and sent consolation money during the Spring Festival respectively to Shang Baoye Iron-making Project Department Employee Yang Yi who won the First-class Merit at the Zhanjiang Iron and Steel’s No.1 Blast Furnace Ignition and Anti-typhoon Rescue Summary and Commendation Meeting, MCC5 Shanghai Sheet Business Division Zhanjiang Steel 2030 Cold-rolling Project Department Manager Su Yuanhong who won the title of MCC Group advanced worker of 2015, MCC17’s needy worker Zhou Dong and MCC Baosteel Technology’s needy worker Zeng Huihua. Xiao Xuewen learned about the newest construction progress of the project of each construction unit and key emphasis for the work of the next step in detail, and expressed his high affirmation for the excellent performances gained by all units while overcoming all kinds of difficulties in the project construction in Zhanjiang. As there will be nearly 3,000 employees stationed in Zhanjiang during the Spring Festival, Xiao Xuewen once again expressed his thanks to everyone who will give up their rest period and opportunities to return home for reunion in order to stick to their posts. He then stated that the hard work of the employees on the production line is MCC’s valuable treasure and an important force for MCC to forge the upgraded 'Four Beams and Eight Columns', business system, recreate the new advantages of a 'Wonderful MCC', and strive to be the world's strongest, largest and best 'National Team' in metallurgical construction and operation services. In 2016, under the background of striving to fulfill the new strategy of being the 'National Team of metallurgyconstruction, the main force of capital construction, and the pacemaker of emerging industries', the MCC Group will stand on a new height and welcome in new opportunities.
